I've been on consoles my whole life and never took pc gaming seriously or with any legitimacy until last sunday when I built one for a school project, I'm running into a lot of issues and I could use some help (sorry if this is the wrong place).

Troubleshooting

Minor background, I've never been into pc gaming just due to the barrier of entry chasing me off. I've had fleeting dreams of getting into it but I just get lost when researching hardware information becuase every outlet assumes I know everything about a pc except the one thing I'm looking up. I've bought some games on steam (skyrim, FO3, MW2, Arma 2, and terraria I know wierd selections) and I feel I'm still running into issues and want to do what I can to improve and just run games I want to play somewhat efficiently. I guess I should also specify that I don't want to play games that demand insane amounts of power like witcher 3 and battlefield 1, instead I prefer oldish rpgs (stalker, deus ex, eye divine, and the first witcher) and some newer competitive games ( PUBG and total war warhammer) just to see what they're about. My specs ( I think and please mind I don't know what all to list and what not) is:

I think intel i5 2500 3.40gz

8gb random access memory ( I plan to upgrade this in the future to 16-32)

1.1 terabyte raided hard drive

Amd sapphire radeon 6670 fanless 1gb graphics card

Cooler master heat sync with turbo cool

Windows 10 64bit

That's all I know off the top of my head and that I'm able to find. I'm happy to find out any other parts if given just a way how because I wanted to say what my motherboard is (because I think thats mega important based on what I'm told). I know I mentioned before but I want to say that my maingoal with this is what cam I do to upgrade my pc or optimize it to run games more efficiently while also staying in a relatively acceptable price range. Again any advice or support is super useful thank anyone who reads this for your time.

P.S. I am truly sorry if this is the wrong sub to put this on, if it is could you point me towards a better one to post it on. Also sorry about frammer and spelling errors I'm on mobile.
