Greta, Celia or Isolda
Posting on behalf disclaimer: This is my (Stevie) cousin, 'Suzy'. I gave her my Reddit login so she could have a chat to you guys about her future baby's name. For the record; just stuff on this post is Suzy. Interactions outside of this post are still me. (Stevie.)
My baby girl is due soon! (I don't want to sound super terrible, but I'm so happy she's a girl because I tend to find girls names easier, for some reason.) I've narrowed it to three and can't decide.
Greta May Celia May Isolda May
May is definitely the middle, after my baby sis. But if you have anything you think could be nice for a first, I'd love to hear your suggestions.
I'm not someone to get offend by constructive criticism, so please critique away. One thing I worry about is that because I'm only 19, I'll fall into those teen mom names. I really want my kid to have a classic name that ages well, but I also want it to be a little different. I have a really popular and boring name, and never really felt it. I just want my baby to have a name that she can be proud of, and that repress her well in any future personal/professional life.
I love Isolda so much, but I really hate Izzy/Izzie as a nickname. It's not even a sound thing, just negative connotations to people with that name. (I went to school in 20teens Australia. Every second mean girl was called Isabel/la nn Izzy.) So if anyone has any nickname suggestions, I'd love to hear. ❤️
Thanks guys!
Edit: ohhh, also! Baby will most likely have red hair. Runs rampant on both sides of the family. If that helps at all. I don't know why it would, but I always imagined Greta as a redhead name.
