Mega extension issue

Hi. I recently switched to waterfox from FF, running version 55.2.2 (64-bit) (most recent). When i enable mega extension it prevents any mega.nz pages from opening, it doesn't even try to load, just stays a blank page, when i disable the extension it works normally.

With extension enabled i can access mega trough toolbar button.

My guess was that something went wrong during profile import. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension but no luck. ( i tried searching the profile folder for keyword mega and removing all files and folders that looked related to the extension)

thank you
