19 with Some Huge Financial Fuckups

Other

Hi, Reddit. I'm 19, I've royally screwed my credit, and I'm basically living on student loans.

Some background: I was coerced into getting a credit card at the store I was working at earlier this year. After one late payment, I paid off my bill in its entirety... And wound up putting another $50 on it.

That was 4 months, and 4 late payments ago.

My credit score is awful now (in the mid-500s) and my minimum payment may as well be the entire $120+ balance. I will be paying it off this coming month when I get my next financial aid refund.

However, I'm well aware I'll need to pay those back when I graduate - so I'm casually panicking over my quickly degrading finances. I also have one utility bill in collections (long story) and a shit ton of medical bills - and, at the moment, no job.

I'm in the process of remedying the no job part, but where do I go from here, Reddit? Once I have a job, how do I build my credit back up? I'm trying desperately to become independent, and that isn't helping my case.
