No feeling in left thigh
chicken legsBackstory
Ever since I was a kid, I was a small dude. Short and scrawny, though I've always been exceptionally strong, have a high tolerance to pain, and I'm pretty fast. When I was 8 I placed 6th in the nation in the 98' Junior Olympics in Seattle, WA. for the 1500m race walk. I even had to compete against the 10 and 11 year olds because the 8 and 9 year olds weren't allowed to compete past nationals. I still medaled!
Anyway..
Before I got married I was about 105 lbs (I'm 5'5") after maybe a year of being married I got up to 139lbs. I was literally eating about a pound of ground beef a day (hamburger helper), and about a loaf of bread a week (sandwiches my wife packed me for lunch), and anywhere from 0 to 3 beers night..sometimes more, but not overkill. I think all of that is what led to my gaining the 30 pounds (much excitement at this point). This weight was mostly in my belly. But my ribs stopped showing and my face and chest filled out. The belly was totally worth it! But with all of this weight gain my legs were still as twiggy as ever. Like, my thighs are thinner than some dudes arms, my ankles are like the twig a twig would call a twig. I wear a size 6.5 shoe (American) so I have some pretty darn small feet.
im not sure if any of this matters..so back the the worrying symptoms... Ever since I was about 18 I started losing feeling on the outer/right side of my left big toe and in the skin of my left/outer thigh. The muscle has plenty of feeling. But it's progressed to the point (I'm almost 28) that I have to be careful clipping my left toenail because I can't feel the right side of my left big toe If you pinch my outer right thigh I can barely handle it. My legs having literally no meat on them and are exceptionally ticklish, bruise kind of easily and hurt more than I think they should when struck, or even tickled (other than the area of question on my outer left thigh).
Since January I've lost 17 lbs.
I stopped drinking beer
My wife started cutting meet out of out diet and adding a lot more veggies (I'm actually allergic to most edible plants. Heartburn, asthma, itchy burny tongue and throat, eating a salad makes me "pass" a chewed up salad In a matter of a couple hours.. plus I really just don't like most veggies) ...we eat meat again...
I got promoted just before the end of the fiscal year and started working 13 hour days, barely sleeping, and losing my appetite from stress..
I think all of these things were factored in my dropping back down to 117lbs.
Anyway.... again...
what's up with my numb skinny leg? I don't think being able to pinch my outer left thigh like an elbow is okay.
Btw
I have severe social anxiety that's somewhat controlled by Xanax, and ADD -treated. I left the "H" in ADHD out on purpose. I was diagnosed in the early 90's before the h was thrown in there, and I'm not by any means hyper active. I also have severe lower back back from sitting. Standing and laying down is fine, but sitting for too long is excruciating. No treatment for the lower back pain. My guess is a 27 year old male already given prescription speedball for anxiety and ADD is too high risk to also treat for pain. (Yoga hasn't worked, xray showed nothing of significance.)
