Looking for works/papers on the idea that technological change is "natural" and people need to "adapt or perish"

I think we've heard this often, especially in popular debates about technological change such as "disruptive technology". The issue of working practice in gig economy, for example, is easily brushed off as simply technological change instead of work exploitation. I think it's pretty common in other kind of startups too where there is this idea of technological change as a natural unstoppable force of civilization and mankind has to "adapt or perish".

I'm interested in the works that explore on mindset that technological change is seen as "natural" or as "inevitable". The discourse of naturalizing technology, or something like that. Wondering if there's anything like that?

Thanks!
