Visiting from Canada for a few months, need some advice please!

Hey! I am spending this summer in NZ to to work, travel, and golf. Planning a month each in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. What's the best order to do this in? And what are the best suburbs around these cities?

Also, what are the best value golf courses in NZ? I searched and found this link. Am I missing anything?

If anyone wants to meet up and play a round of golf, or just have a beer with a Canadian, gimme a shout!
