Plan to make "The Gnosis" my base. Undecided which of my ships I should take - need input.

The title already says it all. Yesterday I learned that the Megaship Gnosis will keep jumping on a weekly basis for at least a Month, I guess. And the destinations they take on, they sound really promising and fascinating.

After grinding imperial Rank for a Clipper and doing Prof. Palins Missions for a few hours, I feel like I need another change, and getting on the Gnosis and making her my base sounds very interesting. Especially considering that there are quite a few likeminded explorers on her.

Now, I just have one slight problem: I'm undecided which ship I shall take with me. As I intend to stay more or less near the Gnosis (around 1000 to 1500 Ly max distance I guess between jumps), I dont think I need my current Main-Explorer, my trusty Asp "Estella" with her slightly above 50 ly jumprange. But she's got such a great view... But she yaws like molasse in supercruise, and her thrusters make her rather iffy to fly during planetary landings.

Then I could use my trusty Python "Elysia", she has room for about anything I'd need, but her handling also lacks a bit panache... Jumprange would be very okayish for this trip I guess, and she'd be probably the most reasonable build for this endeavor.

As alternatives, I have two Imperial ships. My Courier, the "Eyra", and my Clipper, the "Excelia". Both have only sligthly above 30 Ly jumprange, and especially with the Courier, I have to eschew one or the other module. Wich wouldn't be too much of an issue, thanks to the "mobile base" "The Gnosis". But both the Clipper and the Courier are the most fun to fly of the 4 ships that I'd take on this trip, especially in supercruise, they handle very well. And thanks to the thrusters, planetary landings and maybe canyon running and such stuff would be a very fun distraction.

I myself think either the iCourier or the iClipper would be the most suited for this trip. Because the Gnosis would be kind of a "mobile base" as mentioned, and I wouldn't explore like I'd do it all on my own: This time, I don't care about covering large distances as fast as possible, but combing a system more thoroughly. Hmm, that makes me to think to probably also take some xeno scanners and such stuff with me...

Ah, decisions, decisions... As I'm not 100% set which ship to take, I decided to pick my fellow Elite-redditors brains.

Which one of those ships would you take on a Exploration Trip abord the Gnosis Megaship? And why? You can of course recommend any other ship and build, but I'd prefer to take one of those 4, because they are basically ready, I'd have no further engineering to do. (I considered buying a Conda for that, but the mats gathering and engineering of the FSD, thrusters, shields and what not kinda puts me off - I want to go, and I want to go now, not after a few days or weeks when the RNGods decide that I'm worthy...).

So, without further ado, here are my ships:

Asp Explorer "Estella"

Python "Elysia"

iCourier "Eyra"

iClipper "Excelia"

Edit: I tested the Clipper, the Courier and the Asp at Palins Thargoid-fetch missions. While the courier really is fun to fly, her long nose is a bit of a hindrance when scouting on a planet. Nothing beats the Asp in this regard, and as I want to concentrate on taking closer looks at planets, the Asp seems like the most suited ship for that. And with G5 thrusters and a little bit larger powerplant, she's also rather enjoyable to fly. So I made up my mind, I'm taking the Asp, in the following config to the gnosis, with a few modules to switch out stored on the gnosis. I intend to mount a Xeno-Scanner and some research limpets eventually, in order to be able to gather Info on any possible Alien life.
