I'm done feeling sorry for my self

2 months ago I got super drunk and told my girlfriend that I was going to kill my self. She called the police who unlocked my door and took me to the hospital. In the hospital, I suffered through massive withdrawals and complained until they finally let me loose. I came home and called my girlfriend who promptly broke up with me and I quit drinking cold turkey right then. The next days were absolutely hell. She put my entire life on blast on social media. She called me a bad boyfriend and such and such. The words that stuck with me were: "once a drunk, always a drunk".

Those words inspired me. And I quickly decided that I would devote my life to being sober. With the help of r/fitness, I started working out and made some sick gainz in the gym. I lost 40 pounds and stayed sober with my gainz and the hope of getting my girlfriend back being the only thing that made me stay sober.

Flash back to a week ago and I started drinking again. 3 days I drank and I realized that if I drank in moderation or not I didn't enjoy it. I would come home and want to lift even if I was super fucked up just to maintain my gainz.

I don't know how to get a badge but I want one.

Not drinking has become an easy cheat code for life. And I no longer want to be a drunk.

The words from my ex: "once a drunk, always a drunk" have really set a fire in me.
