[Question] Difference between Junghan Max Bill Automatic and Junghans Max Bill Design

After some searching I think I may found my next watch. I really like the design of the Junghans Max Bill line. However, it seems like there are two models that look almost identical.

I'm new the watches scene. It seems like the first one is self-winding and the second one is hand-winding? What are the pros/cons between self and hand winding?
