Thoughts towards our paradigm shift and new laws
With the drop in marriage and reproduction rates, I am genuinely curious as to what kinds of laws we'll likely see passed in the future. We all know the old days aren't coming back, and in this brave new world, the powers that be want us to errantly continue growing exponentially in population size to expand their profits and control.
I don't know about you all, but I highly doubt we'll see them adopt new policies to gently shift towards a smaller population. That's the last thing they want to do. Because the eventual outcome of that is a semi-permanent plateau to be maintained. And that kind of stagnation is the death of consumerism, thus the death of profit, thus the death of power over others. "The spice must flow" seems to be the mentality of it too, as far as things like culture or race is concerned. What kind of laws and policies do you all think we'll see put into effect to keep the gears turning?
