FI reading material suggestions

Hi all, I've been lurking here for a while and decided to finally post.

I'm wondering what material/books you've read and found interesting, useful, or motivational towards the FI topic?

Currently I've read (in this order):

  • Richest Man in Babylon
  • The Barefoot Investor
  • Affluenza by Clive Hamilton
  • Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin

A little bit about me: 34 year old male, married, no kids. Been working in the same industry for 15 years and the same job for 7 and a half years (it's getting a bit stale).

My sister (smart she is) had subtly been suggesting the FI way of thinking to me for a long time and finally this year I woke up to myself and saw the light. I've really enjoyed educating myself and challenging the cultures that have had me float on through life up until now.

Whilst it's better late than never, I now feel I'm well behind the eight ball. I do understand the importance of sustainability, so I'm not going to set myself unrealistic targets. The thought of FI has ignited a fire in me. I've enjoyed reading and the practise towards FI so much that I'm even contemplating formal education directed towards this i.e. financial planning/advising.

Anyway I would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions.
