sleep paralysis for the first time
hi, i never post on reddit but I'm very freaked out, I think i just experienced sleep paralysis for the first time, it wasnt nearly as scary as other stories I've heard but i'm worried this will be a regular thing and might get increasingly worse. i was asleep on my side and i woke up but i didn't (idk if that makes sense??) i felt sort of glued to the bed or maybe even tied down or weighted down, i heard a noise that i dont know how to describe coming closer to me, also felt something standing over me, i had a weird feeling all over my body kinda tingly or like being shocked so i assumed i was being electrocuted for a minute and then i realised that wasnt possible as there was nothing around me that could electrocute me. will this be a regular thing? is it even sleep paralysis? is it possible its just a one off and will never happen again? my eyes were closed but would i have had visual hallucinations if they were open? (sorry if none of this makes sense im still half asleep and confused, all fucked up from an accidental day time nap)
