Did home schooling handicapp your education potential into adulthood?

I suppose this question goes for communal home schooling as well. I went to a decent integrated public school K-12. While I utterly sucked at learning the social aspects of public school, presumably due to my autism, I will grant that the education provided to me gave me a strong base to work with while pursuing higher education, and even for being a decent employee in the work place.

Plus they taught me "how to learn", so with a strong work ethic I stand a fair shot of going into a training program and learning what needs to be learned in the allotted time.

For example, I'm a part time Blackjack dealer. I'm autistic. I find it odd that my fellow dealer trainees not stricken with autism have issues with paying out 3:2 on a blackjack, or struggle with card counts with aces (aces are 1 or 11). I'm no math whiz, particularly once you start adding letters and symbols to math equations, but Blackjack is one of the simplest casino games for a dealer to learn, I guess baccarat is easier in someways. And I find dealers who've had multiple training sessions still struggle with it so I guess maybe they weren't given a solid K-12 education and might be the case for a lot of adults for that matter.

So I realized not every adult in this country has been blessed with a foundation for learning. Have any of you ran into these problems particularly due to your home schooling handicapping you in important areas of education that other adults don't struggle with?

The reason I'm concerned is I fear our current education Secretary is morally opposed to good educations like the one I received in K-12, and wants to invest the nation's resources into Christian homeschooling like the ACE program, or just Private Christian Schools that teach Christian Sharia Law as not to be questioned facts of Life.

Btw I hope I'm not passing myself as intellectually superior to those of you who were home schooled, I'm autistic, it has strengths and weaknesses so there is without a doubt that some of you are profoundly stronger than me in some areas where I'm weak, and as a child you really had no control over what kind of schooling you got so none of that would be your fault anyhow.
