October 28th - Halloween Countdown - All Saints' Day

ACTIVITY

Wikipedia: "All Saints' Day, also known as Hallowmas is a Christian festival celebrated in honour of all the saints, known and unknown." It usually takes place at November 1st. In lots of countries with a (Roman Catholic) Christian majority it is a custom to visit the graves of dead relatives and bring flowers and/or candles to them. In some places candles are also lit at home (presumably) to honour and remember the deceased. I though it was worth mentioning that Portuguese children celebrate the Pão-por-Deus tradition (also called santorinho, bolinho or fiéis de Deus) going door-to-door, where they receive cakes, nuts, pomegranates, sweets and candies.

Activity: Today, draw inspiration from the lit candles or flowers on the graves. Or, if you prefer something a bit more elaborated, go for a ghostly look.

Discuss: Are there some "holy" aspects of your makeup, what part or step of it is not replaceable? And which are more prone to experimentation or neglect?
