Destiny 2 for casual player, is it really that bad?

I love scifi games and I have been waiting for a scifi mmorpgish game for a while (there are not that many scifi mmos). To the people that are already bored with the game, how much have you played since release? I can not really dedicate that much time to gaming anymore, probably 3-4 hours a day tops. Would I still burn through the content really fast? I really do not mind the grind (I have been playing WoW since release and I love grinding) even though I do not really care for the PvP, I would much rather play Overwatch.
