Found a way to block porn on android
Hello everyone,
Assuming that you are, like me, having K9 Web Protection on PC, but having problems with blocking porn on your Android device i think i have found
a great way to do that and i want to share it with you.
What you need to do:
- Install AppLock from Play Store
- Install Safe Browser (Or any other browser that blocks porn)
- In AppLock you need to lock all the apps that can access porn (For me it was Google App and Chrome)
- Now you need to lock Settings so that you can't delete AppLock from Settings and lock Play Store so that you can't install any app that can access porn.
- I recommend you to password protect AppLocker, it is better than pattern, you will see later why.
For additional information read this article: http://www.easycodeway.com/2016/12/prevent-apps-from-being-uninstalled.html
Now the only way to delete AppLock is from home screen. To dissable that you need to hide the icon from home screen. This article can help you with that: http://www.easycodeway.com/2016/11/hide-unhide-applock-icon-from-home.html
Now the only way to access AppLock is either through web browser with link: domobile.com/applock or through dialpad. The reason why i recommended you password is because you have to enter #password. If you used pattern you could access it easy by entering "##12345##" which is easy to remember. It is up to you what you will do with that password, you can destroy it, give it to someone or hide it somewhere where you can't access it.
This probably isn't the perfect way to block porn on Android but it is the best one that i have stumbled upon. If anyone has any questions or tips please tell me i will be more than happy to answer. And if someone knows how to bypass this method please don't tell us unless you know a better way.
Edit:
Lately i have been relapsing a lot through my phone by using Chrome. After relapsing this morning i wanted to find a way to finally block porn on Android after searching for months how to do that and never finding a proper way to do so and almost out of nowhere this two articles showed up.
My story in short:
After being addicted to PMO for as long as i know for myself i wanted to quit because i realised how bad it affected me in general. Somehow i found this subreddit and started to practice NoFap a while ago. My longest streak was 24 days and i can say that i definitely had more energy, needed less sleep (I started waking up earlier not feeling tired), had less brain fog and less social anxiety and felt better overall. During that time i started exercising and it helped me a lot with beating urges. But after that my semester started and since than i stopped exercising because i don't have time for that since i have to study alot. That is probably the reason why i have been relapsing last month after 3-4 day streaks. I hope it gets better soon. I will never give up on trying to be a person that i was meant to be but couldn't because of PMO.
