What are my chances of being relocated to a different dorm?
I keep finding random beetles or whatever they are in my room just chilling. I know for a fact that they are coming through my window and I've had dorm management "fix" my windows before but all they did was take off all the scotch tape I put on which plugged up the holes in the windows and readjust the positioning of the windows. It didn't work as I still had random insects here and there, but I just gave up at that point because it took getting the first shirt involved to finally get dorm management to look at my window and having them essentially do nothing or in my case do more harm than good. I'm located right next to this tree infested with quite a bit of insects (thousands?) and as of recently I keep finding (beetles?) trying to get into my room. I keep my room clean, but I think they are attracted to the light that is emanating from my room. I would like to keep my window open for at least 10-20 minutes a day for fresh air, fight mold, etc., however it is counterintuitive at this point to even think about opening my window. Even with the window fully sealed and with scotch tape covering up certain holes I still find (beetles?) chilling in random corners in my room and it makes me paranoid as hell. I’ll post a picture of a couple of these guys and maybe someone can tell me what they are. Also, I have a screen door when I open my window but it’s essentially non-existent as I still find fly’s getting into my room but this easy to combat since I have several fly traps and a couple bug zappers. I don’t know how to combat these other miscellaneous creatures other than spraying chemicals everywhere but of course that would also be a bad idea. I just want to go to sleep at night feeling safe knowing that a random insect won’t crawl on me. I’ll admit, I have a bit of a phobia versus insects, but I feel like it would be a reasonable request for anyone in my situation to request a room change even without the phobia; hopefully that doesn’t sound too biased. Anyways, I’ll wrap it up here as I could easily write a 50 page essay about this. https://imgur.com/5XZ5s3L https://imgur.com/40Qbd73
