Is there a wrong method to learn a language?

Yeah, this seems like a dumb question but, it just occurred to me one day that since pretty everyone's way of learning languages are different, would there be an objectively wrong way of doing it?

I mean I assumed that people do end up in more or less the same place after months or years of practice, but I'm just thinking that if it's possible if you just end up not being able to reach that point no matter how much the effort since you're doing it wrong.
