Dell changed my XPS 15 motherboard - do I need to clean install Windows 10?

I had a motherboard issue with my XPS 15 so Dell came here yesterday and swapped it out for a refurbished one. I then used the computer all night yesterday with no issues.

I don't know too much about computers. But googling told me I should normally do a clean install of W10 after swapping motherboards in a laptop. Is that true also for XPS 15? The Dell guy that was here told me it was not needed because the new motherboard was identical to the old one.

I've had to reboot a game twice this morning due to everything hanging up, had to do a hard reboot, so that is why I am asking.
