What are the chances of my Toyota corolla 2016 being broke into?

So I heard that thieves in USA have been able to break into cars with a remote that auto-unlocks cars and I want to know what is the chance of my car being able to become a victim to it and how to prevent it. Right now, this just happened in front of my house with my brother's car. It's late at night right now and I'm too scared to check my car right now but will tomorrow.
