[help] Switches get sticky after drying
Didn't take me long to spill the first ounce of soda into my board. Of course I started freaking out, unplugged the thing, drained the water and left it out to dry. Upon inspection I found it not so bad. Some keys were sloppy and the travel time was extended, but other than that it was all fine. I cleaned the keycaps and switches with water soaked cotton swabs and rag, left them out to dry and the keyboard was back working fine and dandy. Only a couple of hours into my usage I found out that the switches have lost their clickiness (I've got Cherry MX Blues). That's not going to be a thing so I researched the issue, unplugged the board and carefully cleaned the switches with cotton swab and warm water again. The click was there and proud of my achievement I left the board out to dry. However once I was back to check on it I found out that the click was gone again. So I cleaned it again, left it to dry and the same thing happened. The switches are clicky only when they're wet, but once the water dries out whatever bits of sugar that are left solidify creating this click suppressing molasses.
How do I clean it once for all and do I really need to take the whole thing apart (because I'd rather not)?
