Normal / Nemesis difficulty level questions

So I started the game at Nemesis level difficulty and feel as if it’s sufficiently challenging. Progress however is very slow.

I’m thinking about switching difficulty to normal, but I’m worried it will be a cakewalk. Does normal provide an adequate challenge as well? Is there any benefit to playing Nemesis difficulty?
