Switch to Ubuntu from Ubuntu-gnome 17.10

I installed Ubuntu-gnome 17.04 this spring. I just upgraded to 17.10.

I'd like to get the default Ubuntu 17.10 desktop.

So far I tried to install ubuntu-desktop, remove ubuntu-gnome-desktop and I did a dconf reset -f /

Now I have white dock bars ont top and bottom of the screen and nothing look like the default Ubuntu 17.10 desktop.

What did I miss? thanks
