Breath of the Wild isn't that good. People need to hop off and realize the game is not that good. You like the game because the reviews told you to. End of story.
Since when is gameplay the only thing that mattered in a Zelda game? Has the fanbase completely deteriorated? This game is absolutely soulless. Sure the game is fun, in the same way minecraft is fun, or Wii Sports Resort is fun. Like yeah, the graphics are pretty, the controls are smooth, but thats it.
There's no atmosphere or tension or mystery or awe in this game. What in the this game gives you a feeling like Ocarina of time when you first saw the re-deads, or when you stepped into Hyrule Castle the first time, or getting lost in the eerie labyrinth of the forest temple.
What in this game resembles to tension and darkness of the Moon falling in Majora's Mask, or the quirniness and personality of marching the cuckoos and fighting the aleins at romani ranch.
What in this game feels like first sailing off in the great see and how amazingly epic it is, or the epic final swordfight with ganondorf as the ocean falls all around you.
What in this game has any relation to the eeriness and horror of the arbiters grounds or the twilight realm. What here is as epic and momentous has jousting that troll on the bridge or the climactic duel at the end.
What here harkens to that feeling of pure awe as you explored the Ancient Cistern's dungeon design which told a Buddhist tale through its corridors and puzzles. Or the emotion of Link and Zelda reuniting after Demise being destroyed.
And no, don't say "I WAS SO AMAZED WEN I CLIMED TO DE TOP OF DA MOUNTAYN AND SAW DA BOOTIFUL SUNSET" like what bitch? That's nothing. I can go see pretty vistas and sunsets in real life, hell I can just look at pictures of vistas and its prettier than some stuttery low-framerate videogame. What I can't do in real life is get lost in a maze full of horrific monsters and skeletons warriors as eerie chanting plays. I also can't grab a boat and sale to some random island and get more and more excited as the sillhouette becomes clear and explore its treasures and secrets.
Nothing in this game is very cool. It's just a big sandbox, like GTA but with less cool stuff. Like Skyrim but less effort. If you think this is the best Zelda, you probably didn't play the other ones and think this is the best Zelda ever because some paid shills said it was.
Very Average-Good Game
