Help on lateral, side-to-side screen tearing issue

I recently built a PC, and CSGO has been running great so far. 144hz has been incredible. The only thing is, it seems that even if I'm getting higher frames than before (200-300 fps), when I move my mouse side to side, for instance, to bhop, there is a noticeable stutter-like frame skip. It's almost exclusively when I move my mouse quickly and between a large angle (180 degrees). Every peripheral I have is "gaming" or oriented towards it, except for my mouse and mousepad. My mouse is just a regular, everyday use wireless mouse and an ancient, 5-year-old mousepad. Can screen tearing be connected to the "wear and tear" on a mouse that's not attributed to gaming?
