Looking to upgrade CPU

I'm upgrading from the AMD FX-8350. Doing a little research i came across the Ryzen 5 1600. I wanted to get your guys opinion on the core itself and suggestions for an accompanying AM4 motherboard. Budget for a motherboard is max £100 unless there's anything that will significantly improve performance. Any suggestions are appreciated and since i'll be upgrading my motherboard anyway, Intel suggestions are welcome though my budget would still be similar.
