Am I (26F) wrong for getting angry about his (29M) selfish comment on how I comforted him?

My guy is an outdoorsy person and lately he has been gaming a lot which rendered him less productive, according to him. We both game and do activities outside whenever we can (but we are in LDR atm)

Today he told me he is a bit down and feels shit because he hasn't been productive. So I comforted him in what I thought was positive. I told him that I think that's fine and he should just be cool that he did what he wanted to do at that time and that his brain was active anyway. He replied "Not really the comfort I was looking for"

I got angry. I told him if he's not happy about what I said, he didnt have to show gratitude but he shouldnt be an asshole about it too. He told me, its lost in text, he wasn't offended and just wanted sympathy from me.

Im still angry and im not sure if im overreacting but it bloody hurts me.

tl;dr: Bf was not happy about how I comforted him, I got angry but he said it wasn't his intention.
