When to pick Nami?

Hi, I'm a gold 4 support main, have only been playing support for about a month and a half now. I played Nami last week I think when she was free, and about a year ago when I just started playing League. Both times I really enjoyed playing her, her bubble and W feel so satisfying and do pretty nasty damage. But for some reason I still don't see her picked so much with other supports like Soraka, Janna, Lulu and Sona being meta. Now that ardent has been nerfed, will Nami see more play? And when should I pick Nami if I wanna play her?
