Vindicta review: A solid shooter and a tonne of fun.
Platforms: HTC Vive and Oculus Rift
Price: $15
Too long didn't watch:
- Story starts off OK, but disappears after the first 5 minutes.
- The gameplay consists of running and gunning, with a number of mild climbing and crawling sections.
- Features 5 levels that took me roughly 4 hours to complete.
- Checkpoints are placed regularly throughout levels, and can be loaded to directly once unlocked.
- A wide variety of enemies with a range of attacks, but fairly basic AI.
- A good assortment of weapons, both one handed and two handed.
- The game is overall very easy and does not feature difficulty settings.
- Locomotion is either arm swing or traditional smooth motion. No teleportation or comfort options.
- Graphics are well executed however, I did experience the occasional judder on my 1070.
- Room for improvement, as you'd expect from an Early Access title.
- In its current state it's a solid shooter, a tonne of fun, and definitely worth a look for fans of the genre.
