First hybrid. 2nd gen Prius or 2nd gen Honda insight.

Hi guys I am looking for some buying advice. This will be the first ever hybrid or CVT transmission vehicle I will buy so I have narrowed it down to a 2008 Prius and a 2010 Honda insight.

The insight seems to have a much more modern interior and kit but this was because it was released along with the 3rd gen Prius. There must be something special about the 2nd gen Prius that they are the same price as a newer year insight.

Has anyone here had an insight or would the 2nd gen Prius hold up against it?

Thank you.
