Hi guys, I just unlocked my overwatch at 162 wins last monday. i was very excited about it as I can help to catch some hackers. Here are my results:

Case 1: Overpass - Aimhack + Wallhack, the enemy top fragger is also hacking so basically HvH

Case 2: Cache - Suspect team kill + suicide, then proceed to afk whole game (whole team), probably boosting

Case 3: Cache - No aim/wall but the suspect viewmodel is tilted 45 degree and his team has 2 spinbotter, probably boosters/friends that hack together

Case 4: Inferno - First few rounds were very normal. However, the enemy toggle on hack and keep wallbang suspect, the suspect also toggle his hack and it becomes HvH

Case 5: Inferno - Spinbot, watched one round and fast forward the whole game, it's making me nauseous.

Case 6: Mirage - Wallhack. Almost missed this one because I thought he was really good. He knows where were the enemies because his teammate told him. Then after 5 rounds in, This guy started to get impatient I guess, he did not put up too much of an act and just keep pushing and pre-fire. I noticed he always kept the enemies x-ray in his peripheral but he never directly look at the x-ray as in like the x-ray was never in the center of the screen, it was always at the side. There was one round he shot through smoke, right at the middle of enemy x-ray but the enemy was actually behind a box, so he was actually shooting at the box for the whole smoke duration.

Case 7: Mirage - Aimhack + Wallhack. The demo starts at 15-1, the suspect only won 1 round. I was wondering how the hell would I get to watch 8 rounds then? since the enemy only need to win one more round. Afraid not, HAX ON! The next 8 rounds, the suspect get 4 aces and basically single-handedly carried the team. One of the enemy has hacks on too but the suspect is too quick to kill him

Case 8: Dust 2 - Innocent. My first clean suspect xd

Case 9: Thrilled - Boosting service, all 9 players afk, 1 player go kill all 5.

Case 10: Mirage - Aimhack + Wallhack

Case 11: Mirage - Aimhack + Wallhack. Another HvH game

Case 12: Train - Innocent. Pro Smurfing. Really good use of nades, check all angles, didn't reload at all until he gets to somewhere safe, even when enemy jump out of nowhere, he never panic and the crosshair is always in head level.

Case 13: Mirage - Aimhack, no wallhack but 16 kills and 100% hs rate... The suspect crosshair is not even at the head level but the crosshair jump to head when he fire

Case 14: Mirage - Wallhack. The suspect was CT. For unknown reason, the T always go to one site as 5. The suspect will always "guess" correctly where the T will go. T go A, he goes A, T go B, he goes B.

Case 15: Dust 2 - Innocent.

Case 16: Austria - Innocent.

Case 17: Cache - Spinbot.

Case 18: Mirage - Aimhack. Even Scream cannot fight against the suspect's head lock aim.

Case 19: Dust 2 - Innocent. He's so bad at rifles but good at awp. When he used rifle, Miss simple shots but when he used awp, flick like Guardian.

Case 20: Mirage - Aimhack + Wallhack. Enemy top fragger has 50+ kills using hacks but suspect team has 2 hackers. 2H > 1H.

Case 21: Insertion - Innocent.

Case 22: Inferno - Aimhack and Griefing. The suspect would purposely walk through teammate incendiary, shoot/knife teammate.

Case 23: Office - Aimhack + Wallhack. so many hackers in this game, HvH game

Case 24: Dust 2 - Spinbot.

Case 25: Dust 2 - Innocent.

Case 26: Inferno - Aimhack + Wallhack, scout with 100% hs rate, the suspect will always turn to wall to check the enemy x-rays

Case 27: Cache - Spinbot.

Case 28: Inferno - Aimhack + Wallhack

Case 29: Mirage - hardest case so far. His deagle is 100% hs rate with 10 kills, rifle is just okay. His deagle flick is so inhuman but his crosshair is really consistently aiming at head. Some rounds his movement really seems like he's walling, he would move his view according to where the enemies go but he somehow just died as if he doesn't know where is the enemy. At the last round, the suspect teamkill 2 teammates and lost the game.

Case 30: Vertigo - boosting service

Case 31: Mirage - Aimhack.

Case 32: Dust 2 - Innocent.

Case 33: Mirage - Aimhack + Wallhack + Griefing.

Case 34: Dust 2 - Innocent

Case 35: Cache - Aimhack + Wallhack

Case 36: Inferno - Aimhack + Wallhack + Bhop script

Case 37: Mirage - Spinbot. HvH game. The suspect won 0 rounds because enemy top fragger also spinbot.

Case 38: Mirage - Spinbot. The suspect is stupid. He spinbot one round, off one round, spinbot one round, off one round. Like why do you even try to hide anymore?

Case 39: Mirage - Aimhack. 23 kills with 100% headshot rate.

Case 40: Mirage - Aimhack + Wallhack. HvH game again.

Case 41: Office - Wallhack

Case 42: Cache - Aimhack + Wallhack + Griefing, even during warmup already so obvious lol

That's all from me. Thanks! Edit: formatting

What did you do with case 29?

10
ricdotaFaZe Clan Fan•

Although I'm new to overwatch but I know I should always presume the suspect as innocent. Since I have no confidence calling out whether the suspect is aimhack/wallhack, I can only report him as griefing as he obviously teamkilled his teammates.

I put insufficient evidence for aim and wall. I'm not sure if I do this right, I hope other more experienced overwatchers will get this case and judge it.

4
xtcxxCloud9 Fan•

holy smokes.

whats the % here hrm

78% looks like.

1
yeti88•

When the player is boosting, how do you classify the overwatch? I usually check all for of them.

1
atred3•

You should definitely not check all of them. Check griefing only if you think it is uncompetitive behavior, but definitely nothing else.

2
ricdotaFaZe Clan Fan•

From what I read in the past overwatch reddit threads, boosting is classified as griefing because it is anti-competitive. Therefore I only check griefing.

0
the_skftw•

Case 29 is most likely a Smurf. You try extra hard for the one deags so you can scream it. Even if you hit two body shot s and the last one is a headshot it will show up at 100%.

1
ricdotaFaZe Clan Fan•

Maybe. Since I am not 100% confident he is aimhacking, I put insufficient evidence. Since I won't be the only one overwatch this case, I hope other high rank overwatcher will get to judge his aim.

1
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

Overwatched someone getting 80 kills on insertion. The enemy team was AFK and his team was ducking around but not afk. No sufficient evidence for any category, no walls, no aim, and he played competitively.

10
kacpor34•

I had same case but on militia, like wtf is that ?

8
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

It's boosting, but you can't get banned for it. Someone asked a valve employee and they clarified the category griefing as being "going against playing competitively". If opine killing people that's competitive no matter how you look at it. You also never want to mark guilty because the one you're overwatching might not even be involved in the boosting.

2
IronicCatalystTeam Liquid Fan•

How do you get matched up with a boosting service on purpose?

3
jakeatkins123Cloud9 Fan•

i think you can pay or you have like 10 pc's, i know lots of the websites that sell smurf accounts use 10q's on maps too boost the accounts to sell, i was also matched up against a boosting service i dont know how it was me 4 afk on my team and 1 guy not afk on the enemy after i wouldnt let him win the people on my team came back and vote kicked me lol

5
mykozaGenuine 500k Party Pin•

I disagree. If I would end up being matched with boosters, I would just quit. What's the fun spending time on the server with 8 or 9 AFKs? If only one player is running and killing other team, you can be pretty sure it's boosting which is anticompetitive in my eyes.

2
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

If you just quit you get banned automatically.

I think a dev gave guidance on that. If the entire match is fake, it comes under grieifing as its a boosting service.

Really simple hope of mine, they make MM way more random in its rewards to any rank gain. I dont want anyone computing how to game the system, any rank shown should be incidental and secondary to the whole idea of a comp 5 v 5.

Maybe because its been more then a few years now this is hard to avoid , people always take a shortcut

his team was ducking around but not afk

I dont think it was by accident. This was all prearranged and your case showed the beneficiary

1
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

I think you're mistaken, the dev didn't give an answer either way. He only reiterated what griefing was and said to use your best judgement.

2
xtcxxCloud9 Fan•

Maybe I should just quote yep. So 80 kills with 9 afk / bots is a pass on your cases or just not sure. Im certain on it personally. These are appearing more often I presume the same way aimbot cases are appearing far more often, their 2017 initiative to detect and forward suspects

1
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

You should quote him. I'd say 9 afk/bots is MAYBE and 5 afk is a definite NO GREIFING

1

Hi I had a guy watching the ground all time and inbetween headshoting around. Just a simple question... What is the fun in this? Watching the ground for an entire match? I don`t get it.

Cheers

6
El_ByronOverpass Veteran•

From my knowledge, from their point of view they are playing normally except they are just getting kills where their crosshair is no where near the people they are killing, not sure the motivation but from their pov they aren't looking at the floor it's odd.

10
JanderhungrigeBIG Fan•

Ah, that makes more sense. Thanks

1
StiffTheNinja32•

Some people live off the salt of other players. In counter strike they cheat, in overwatch (the blizzard one not the cs one) they use mei.

7
xtcxxCloud9 Fan•

Sounds a bit like an aimbot. They are supposed to be playing a competitive match, normally.

Another thing that can be done is measure the tick time between first sight and their reaction shot. No human alive can react faster then 100ms but a computer can. Either they preaim/prefire with wall hack or it can be computer assisted aim

1
JanderhungrigeBIG Fan•

No, it was certainly aimassist/aimbot etc. No doubt. I was just wondering about the "looking at the ground" constantly. Another one replied, that the cheater itselve sees it differntly.

But thanks anyways or your answer. Have a nice evening.

So i had an extremely weird case yesterday (at least the first of it's kind iv'e seen)

The map was Black Gold and The Suspect seemed to be in a game with 9 bots, but these 'bots' all stayed in spawn crouched every round and didn't buy anything (same on both teams). The Suspect would then go on to buy a gun, go the enemy spawn and kill them all, winning the round. This went on for the entirety of the case.

Can someone help me understand this case, the only conclusion i can draw from this is that he was boosting using other accounts, but if this was the case then how did he get reported for this game that seemingly no one else was in?

The only other thing that happened was that in one round one of his teammates brought a gun and wiped the enemy team (still crouching in spawn) and then didn't move again for the rest of the case.

3
damga123Ninjas in Pyjamas Fan•

It's probably a boosting service. He most likely got sent to overwatch for having a very high amount of kills. (I could be wrong on that, correct me if so)

5
Games4LifeGambit Gaming Fan•

That seems likely

2
xtcxxCloud9 Fan•

This is classed under griefing. Taking part in fake games for rank is a ban also, these accounts are sold onto to cheats anyway

1
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

It's a boosting service, but not able to be convicted by overwatch.

1
Swhurls•

It is, its anti competitive behavior and therefor greafing

0
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

Getting 80 kills is the definition of course competitive no matter how you look at it. I could understand your point if maybe he got the afk guys.

1
Swhurls•

I would consider a boostingservice anti compeditive behavior

1
pitbull2k•

i just did 2 cases like that back to back :/

1
Swhurls•

What do i put if there there all afk expect the suspect?

3
xtcxxCloud9 Fan•

Yes, just select the final option. These cases are fowarded to the queue by Valve same way spinbots are. No competitive gameplay is ranking up by deception or griefing.

Obviously use your own best judgement but wording at case end says as much imo

3
Birko_BirdCache Veteran•

Griefing. It’s anti-competitive behaviour.

1
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

Insufficient evidence for all.

1
atred3•

Griefing or innocent. I would go with innocent.

1
Rift3NFaZe Clan Fan•

So I have a question, some people were saying valve "doesn't care" about cheaters and won't fix vac etc because if the cheaters got banned they wont bring valve profits. While it should be the other way around, if they got banned they are just gonna buy new accounts and pay for csgo again (thus bringing profit) no?

2
SnowCarpet•

Question here: What do I have to do in cases were the suspects is the only one in game and all other bots just crouch in spawn? I guess its boosting, but is that considered griefing?

2
xtcxxCloud9 Fan•

Yes, just select the final option. These cases are fowarded to the queue by Valve same way spinbots are. No competitive gameplay is ranking up by deception or griefing

1
redragon546Cloud9 Fan•

No. Unless you overwatch someone that is afk it isn't griefing.

1
Switch64Bravo•

I wish overwatch wasn’t broken so you can’t just 5 queue once every 24 hours and not get banned :) I’ve played the same cheater 3 times now within last week

2
YxxzzY•

I've read some reports on some forums that this is not 100% guaranteed anymore, seems like valve is catching up in that regard.

1
tinguwOwTactics•

I have gone through 10cases and only two of them was NOT HACKING, otherwise its like no one cares. Players blatantly hacking, even in some matches there were competition going on of who's got the best hack! Its Hacker vs Hacker, like who got the best steroids in the Olympics!

1
mr_dogbot•

yep. i had one where The Suspect was blatantly hacking using aimbot, briefly used a spinbot for a short period twice. On the other team a guy was using a blatant spinbot almost the entire game

3
P1r4nh44444•

whats your way to determine if someone has wallhacks? mine is:

  1. if he couldnt get info from a teammate or hear footsteps and has perfect timings where he preaims

  2. if he preaims close to a corner and shoots as soon as the enemy peeks which would mean he has impossible reaction time.

what else?

1
jakeatkins123Cloud9 Fan•

if hes running with a knife out and pulls out his gun perfectly, or he looks into pointless walls for info(this one is controversial as some people do this for better hearing) Another way is there movement an example if someone is about to peek they hide, if theres no info and they shift at the right time etc-hope this helps <3

Prefiring uncommon spots, always looking at the right place at the right time but it can't be just once or twice, has to be really blatant that he has gamesense over 9000. The most annoying part is when you don't know who is WHing on the team like when you're in a game yourself and none of your fakes are working even though they always work at least once in other games

3
macky2clicks•

I find that if their movement is bad, or co-ordinated to where the enimies are, more often or not, they are probably cheating. Preaiming off angles multiple times is also the way I usually catch them. idk YourAverageSilver did a video about it thats really helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yqNbFHJ7i4 // He's a cheater so he knows the common techniques to hiding cheats. Hope this helped!

FathletesNinjas in Pyjamas Fan•

Been a few months since I last did a case but what's the situation like these days? Back when I was doing it'd be like 1/4 cases were a cheater and a spinbotter every now and then

1
macky2clicks•

non prime is filled with cheaters so there will probably be more cases that return as a cheater.

1
FathletesNinjas in Pyjamas Fan•

I wonder if the amount of cheaters (in %) just increased or if people don't give a fuck anymore and just go full blatant... I can imagine one guy cheating, he notices a guy in the opposing team might be cheating too so he steps up a bit and the other guy does the same until you basically have a spinbotter

2
macky2clicks•

I believe that it is the influence of these popular cheating YouTubers that are advertising cheats for under $5, or using some clickbait titles like: "FREE CHEATS UNDETECTED". This has been spamming my sub box for ages now and have never watched a video similar to any. There is also videos by these individuals telling people how to get csgo accounts for like $4, so ofc people aren't gonna care about getting an account or 2 banned - especially in the state of non prime where everyone is doing hacker vs hacker.

Why did yall had to call out Fallen earlier???

1

I finally got my first Overwatch case Friday! Yay! So far I've had three pretty simple cases, each were jerking around in the usual hacking manner, the second one griefed a bit.

Insertion - Nothing doing 0000

Inferno - Csgo pleb np just fairly bad new player crosshair placement. Then staring at 20 feet deep stone wall, no advantage except it lines up with player xray. Constant evident use of wallhack, lazy no effort following xray

Other team toggle spinbots to shoot suspect through wall. Suspect toggles his own spinbot to end all doubt, case ends 1110

Vertigo - enemy team afk. No competitive gameplay by anyone in game 0001

Cache - pre aim pre fire. no attempt to hide wallhack. Wallbang and sitting in smoke no vision 1 shot kills, everyone in game attempting to draw his fire on fake peeks 0100

cobble - I'd think this is a joke or a test but I play mm and this is non prime case. rage hack wall and aim, locking to xray 1100

Cache - This case is just sad, hundreds $$$ in skins and a nice knife but this is someone who hasnt played the game properly or they'd know everyone can tell they are cheating. New player I think from movement and crosshair placement. Wall hack type xray reactions which is debatable, obviously tracking through walls after that. 1 shot kill no vision through smoke mid round. Following rotating players on xray. Tracking through smoke for accurate 1 hs kill. Multiple times lining up players with xray

I also think aim assist, it doesnt look natural to me and its always headshots which doesnt match up with any good movement. Grenades are fired back at himself. Just someone who should practice and could improve without hack, whatever 0100

[86% first half 75% second half. Its possible I over think this crap lol]

Case 1: Vertigo. Suspect playing against AFKs. 0001

Case 2: Mirage. Suspect toggles blatant aim + walls on after a round. 1100

Case 3: Cache. Don't even know why this guy got reported. 0000

Case 4: Vertigo. Another AFK game. 0001
