Finally beat (FFIII)Xande (Ultimate+)...barely.

If he had made one more move, it would’ve ended me - just like he’d done dozens of times before. This guy was way too difficult for me.
I’ve been trying to grab as many MC3s as possible during the renewal dungeons, and most of them have taken me ~3 attempts (some I even got on the first try). Xande, on the other hand, has been kicking my ass for over a week. I just spent six hours straight running this dungeon. Seriously.
Next time I’ll search the sub for tips and stuff. This was brutal - and it probably shouldn’t have been.

I think you are missing some of the basics. This A+ boss was one of the easiest we had in a while. As a primarily magic boss, check that you brought the following:
Defensive buffs: Wall, Shellga
Breaks: Full Break, Magic Breakdown
This is the absolute minimum you should be running with and you need to know the duration of each so that none of them falls off. As a guideline, if your Tyro has SG, put FB and MBD on him as well. Start the fight with SG (he should have DMT or MM), then alternate between FB and MBD and as soon as you get another bar, refresh SG and repeat FB/MBD.
Shellga lasts 35secs before bonus duration from MND (typically lasts ~45secs if cast from your healer). You won't need to recast it if you end the fight fast but if it drags on for very long, you'll need to think about refreshing it once a few turns after you refresh SG the 1st time.
If you can add stacking breaks on top of FB/MBD, it'll make the boss hit a lot lesser as well. You'll typically only find stacking breaks on support characters but imo, it's much better to bring 1 support + 1 healer than have 2 healers for most regular A+.
