You know, it's interesting that this series started off as Dan/Drew. Dan has gone east and Drew is a world traveler, yet the series lives on.
This demo derby knocked me on my cue Jet Moto bike speeding into wall
"Your house is going to burn down again, sorry."
Lawdy, Jeff.
I love it when Jeff recognizes someone on these, and just laughs.
His insights into video game history is awesome to have.
God, I hated Star Ocean 2. Played it during the throes of the crazy PS1 JRPG era and it stood out like the sorest of sore thumbs against basically every other often discussed JRPG in the library, and I've always kind of resented it irrationally ever since.
Star Ocean is always one of those series that really should appeal to me as a JRPG fan, but I always bounce right off them.
I bounced off of 1 after a few hours and I cannot stand 3. 2 does not look much better.
Ugh, Star Ocean 2. I still don't know why I beat that game. It came out so late in the PS life too, so I can't give it a pass like I did with Beyond the Beyond.
Oh man finally a JRPG demo that didn't just dump them right at the very start of the game! Although I think that SeeD Exam/city assault section was my least favorite part of FF8.
That forklift game reminds me of stephen's sausage roll.
Yeah, I got that feeling from it too. It actually looked surprisingly fun.
Does anyone know if it ever made it outside of Japan?
The ending of this had me in tears. Another excellent installment.
Young Phil Harrison looks like a member of Squeeze.
"Saru" (in "Saru Getchu") is Japanese, and can mean either monkey or ape.
Man, Demo Derbies are always such a welcome surprise. They're the Sega Saturn/Fallout Shelter/"Hey, this thing is out right now." of Giant Bomb content.
