Have not had first shift yet

I had my interview on the 24th of September, Officially hired on the 1st of October, had my orientation/welcome party 17 days later with 2 others who have had multiple shifts already, and still have not gotten a roster, i have been in once to ask and then also called last week, was told to wait.

Wondering what should i do as multiple people i know started very briefly.

Normally they would give you a shift after phoning up. Sometimes you have to pester to get your first shift.

wouldn't expect to be 38 days after being hired, the time i went in the manger said that the crew trainer had broken their leg,

but when i phoned up and spoke to someone different it was like they didn't know.

also one of my friends works at that store and has not heard anything of a broken leg.

Honestly best bet is phoning up. Sounds like a communication issue in the store. Be assertive but explain the problem. That you’ve been waiting 38 days.
