They did not give in for the sake of unity, they planned a fight, set a date, everyone bought tickets, and then they realize that they will lose the fight so they pull out. They will do the same thing as soon as they can plan another attack that has better chances at a fight!

Neither you nor I are mind readers, so we do not know what their intentions were. I choose to give them the benefit of the doubt.
If you want to continue fighting, and make them permanent enemies, keep up the toxicity.
On the other hand, if you want a chance at reunifying the community to fight the real war to bring Bitcoin to the masses, then let's stop the crossfire and offer a hand, like good sportsmen.

I'm not claiming the community is whole. Quite the opposite. Read my article. I'm saying this is a potential tipping point giving us the opportunity to put past disagreements behind us and move forward, with those who are willing. There will always be bad actors, yes. But being magnanimous in our NO2X victory increases the chances of making allies instead of cementing the divisions even further.

I could not care less for b2x supporters. Hopefully they lost all their funds. I also hope for some major lawsuits. Not gonna sit here and cuddle with criminals!

I used to be a supporter of Segwit2X, when all I knew about it was that it offered a 2X increase. Then I learned more about the approach, the difficulties in forcing a hard fork in such a short time, and the hidden agenda to fire Core, something I was never on board with. So I flipped to NO2X about 2 months ago.
Are you going to call me a criminal too?
The NYA leaders finally flipped. Maybe a bit late, but not too late. Give them a bit of slack. At least put them on your "probation" list in case any of them do something else that's dangerous.

OK, it's fine to identify a few obvious bad actors, but let's be magnanimous to the Segwit2X supporters and leaders who originally at least thought this was a compromise to unify the community, and backed it for that reason.
I bet many more supported Segwit2X for that reason than out of bad intentions.

Sorry I don't give any weight to a fictional character written by a fat loser like George Lucas.
It's not hatred, but I think their companies should be punished harshly, and I think they should be shunned from bitcoin entirely. These guys caused massive disruption and harm for their own selfish greed. They need to be destroyed and they need to leave the public bitcoin space.
I actually hate lawsuits, but I think they should be sued to kingdom come, with a gag order to prevent any more of their meddling. Fuck those guys.

Sure, you can apply those philosophies to your private life, but when it comes to finances there's tougher consequences. These guys fucked up hard, and their companies need to be punished accordingly.

It seems like the same couple of clowns keep causing problems, but you gotta see that kind of approach is gong to be like a high stakes game of whack a mole when hundreds of billions of dollars are at stake. There will always be someone else wanting to take control. We're just now getting to be a blip on the radar of major financial institutions now, there will be bigger challenges in the future. I'm hoping we (pronounced: people smarter than I) can keep focus and continue to make bitcoin stronger and more resilient than ever for the next attack.

I'm not saying to let your guard down. I'm saying, give people the benefit of the doubt regarding their intentions. I really doubt all Segwit2X supporters/backers had insidious, evil motives. They thought they were doing what was best for Bitcoin at the time, and they now realized they were wrong.
Can there be bad actors? Yes, but why lump all of them into that category from the get-go? Try to bring the persuadable ones over to your side instead of continuing to bash them!
They had months to listen to both sides of the equation, instead of core and what was very clearly mass consensus they chose Wu, B Silbert, Ver & Co. Fuck them. If any individual bitcoiner now realises they were wrong happy to hear them admit it and welcome to the fold.
Being magnanimous in victory instead of vindictive, arrogant and punitive, makes it easier for such individual bitcoiners to change their position and go along with the victors instead of joining the next revolt/attack.
