MNML Case Review from Giveaway
Exactly one week ago MNML picked 25 winners for their case giveaway. Since I was lucky to enough to win one, I thought I'd give it a small review. Just a disclaimer that I wasn't asked to review it for receiving this, just thought I'd help people looking into their cases.
General: I got the matte black finish. A bit slippery but I like the texture. Adequate protection for the back and sides, but there's no lip on the top and bottom to prevent it from touching a surface if the screen is put facedown. Not a huge deal because of the gorilla glass, just something I noticed. The case is for those who want exactly what the brand describes, and that is minimal. At 0.35mm thick it's obviously not offering the greatest protection, but it's better than a skin.
Buttons: Because there are cutouts for the buttons, and the case width is about the same height as the buttons, it makes it a bit difficult to push them. This may take some getting used to, but they've left a bit of space around each button to give some leeway for button presses. This also makes it a bit of a dust collector.
Camera/fingerprint cutout: Love that there's a small bumper around them. The tight spacing around the fingerprint reader also allows me to situate the center of my finger better for unlocking my phone. The thin barrier between the fingerprint reader and camera is greatly appreciated as I tend to smudge my lens a lot.
Bottom/top: The cutouts exactly mimic the s pen, speaker grill, microphones, usb-c port, and headphone jack openings. Very clean looking.
Overall: 4/5. Love the design and feel, just wish the cutouts for the buttons were tapered as it got closer to the button or was covered by a plastic button to allow for easier access.
