What if EA's plan all along was to make BF II so bad that everyone went back and bought the old BF games?

Conspiracy time guys: They target the multiple pet peeves of gamers and shove em all in a game, pretend to be sorry (insert South Park BP commercial) to get the community's feedback on what they hate. Make us hate it more. So we regress to nostalgia and buy the old games (like when old people wish they were young again, but what they actually want are just the qualities youth possess).

This is pretty much the dumbest EA post I've seen all day, which is really saying something...

This is almost as bad as my roommate's theory that Marvel purposefully tanked Inhumans as an olive branch to Fox so they'd let the X-Men come home to Marvel.

Except EA isn't making new copies of the old BF2, the only copies people are buying are used ones. And also this is stupid

Obviously they don't produce it. Too small a market, and new product breeds competition. One of the top posts this month was how one of the top popular games on Steam was BF2 original, so you're wrong there. And it's a conspiracy theory brotha if you take it seriously then you're the dummy

I have a very hard time believing that they would waste millions to push players back to a game that they had zero involvement in. ( all they did was buy the studio after the game released and then closed it shortly after i believe)
