I just downloaded Fortnite on PS4 and as I'm opening the game it asks to read a privacy policy, I tried to read it and it wouldn't let me scroll down to read through the policy. I was just wondering if they're doing something dodgy and I'm somehow being screwed.

Well fortnite isnt free.. battle Royale is but the base game will be free some time in 2018 probably because its everything a free to play game is
Yeah that’s what I meant, I saw a clip of the game earlier and it looked good so I downloaded it, but my thoughts on free games are that someone is trying to gain from you insidiously
You can buy loot boxes and vbucks in the game so yeah but tbh if you have the base game you do not need to spend anything more on it so its really nice i have alot of good shit from just playing the game

It's a pay model that more companies are adopting for their games. They make their profits off of the cosmetic sales instead of title purchases. It creates a more constant flow of money rather than a large burst at launch that dwindles over time.
Epic is an upstanding AAA developer and while some people may disagree with me, they really care about people having fun playing their games.

Yes, Sony allowed a Scam to not only get put on their store but be downloaded and played by thousands of people -_-
Fortnite's Battle royale game mode is free
They have a main campaign mode which is paid for
edit: Like codyfall said, the main campaign will soon be free in 2018
Campaign will be free next year.
