I'm about 7 hours into the game, unlocked at least 6 or 7 towers (green icon above them now). It says to fast travel push "X". I push X and it just makes a quick sound and that's it. I hold down X,. and all it does it make the same weird sound. The towers are unlocked (ones not synched are "greyed" out). This is my 3rd AC game...what the heck am i missing?

Did you hold it down long enough? I think the circle around the X fills in while you're holding it and then you'll travel.
Just checking you have climbed the towers and the synchronize point?

No idea what's up. Are you able to uninstall and re-install the game to see if that helps?
Are you able to fast travel back to Siwa, or other villages/towns? Is the issue just isolated to the synchronised view points?
I cannot fast travel back to Siwa. I can't fast travel at all.
I appreciate this will be a pain in the arse but could you maybe try starting the game with a new save slot? Just play enough to have created a travel point in Siwa and then attempt to fast travel back there.
Creating a new save game won't disrupt your current save, but it might help to try and isolate the problem.
If you think that could work - start a new game and see if that helps my current game?
Unfortunately I'm not saying that it will help your current game, but if you are able to fast travel on a new save then it will help to isolate the problem.
I can't remember off the top of my head how much time it takes to open up Siwa as a fast travel point, but i would certainly take that time if it helped to find a solution. To cut time you can B skip all the cutscenes.
Agreed. You have to hold down the "x" button until the circle fills.
Hold it down and then make sure your not in combat.

Sounds like you're in combat, or you haven't actually synched them.
I've been playing the game for 7 hours, and i've tried to fast travel 15 times at various location. I've been running to back and forth instead.
Guys - i appreciate the help, but as i said above i hold X, and nothing happens. The circle does not fill up. I cannot even get back ti Siwa. Press X, hold X nothing happens. Yes i'm synched up (green icon). I can't even get back to my starting home Siwa. It says "press X to fast travel". I press X, hold down X and it just makes a weird noise.

How important is fast travel? This has happened to other people, and they had to restart the game. No way i can do that, 8 hours is a long time for me. Will it be a real pain without fast travel?
It depends on how you plan on playing the game. Following main missions in strict order would probably tie destinations closer together but if you want to go off and do side missions then covering vast distances is going to be a royal pain.
Unfortunately I am having the exact same issue. Fast travel towers that previously worked wouldn’t anymore.
I had to start a new save and start over after 28 hours in the game. It seems to be the only way to resolve the issue at this time.
