##Conditionals & Triggers

I can tell from the AI data that there are a number of conditional abilities and triggers but I'm not good at reading the data to accurately tell when they are or what the triggers are. So if someone could do that it would be greatly appreciated.

##Strategy

I personally used a 3-turn kill strategy which I detail below. As such, the following strategy section is based on assumptions from the data and from reading Altema and Famitsu's guides.

What an annoying fight. As usual both a magic cover tank and ST provoke tank are recommended. Also, it is recommended that you bring immunity to all the ailments Antenolla will throw at you. As you can see from the data, each part of Antenolla has different elemental resistances and weaknesses, with all parts absorbing water and earth damage. By attacking the different sections of Antenolla with it's respective weakness, you can weaken the potency of it's attacks. For example, hitting the root with wind damage will cause it's MP drain to become single-target instead of AoE. Because of this, it's a good idea to make sure you can and are dealing fire, ice, wind, and dark damage to the respective targets.

The Flower will rotate between making each part of Antenolla immune to physical and magic damage every 3 turns; the fight starts out with Antenolla being immune to physical damage. As such you either need to bring both physical and magic damage, or you will have to spend a few turns doing no damage to the boss which is risky since you won't be weakening it's attacks that way. Adding to all this, Antenolla frequently buffs itself and you will definitely want to dispel this.

Finally, you want to take out the Flower last. If you don't, any remaining part will use 暴走している and almost certainly cause you to lose the fight.

##Trance Tina Strategy

This is the strategy I used to beat this fight and it makes use of Trance Tina and her 7★ awakening.

Turn 2Arms EraserLook PrettyCuraga x2奥義・天下御免魔導力全解放魔導力全解放
Turn 3Look PrettyLook PrettyLook PrettyTri-Beam LazerChaos Flare x4Chaos Flare x4

For the missions, Ace is equipped with a wind and dark weapon, so between his use of 世界崩壊/奥義・天下御免 and Trance Tina casting Chaos Flare, the conditions for dealing fire, wind, and dark damage two times is met.

I followed this video by a Japanese whale. He used no 7-star of his own and is an excellent setup that should not be too difficult to follow.

I mean, if you have Trance Terra 7-star of your own, you don't need a guide. Seriously.

That's so true :/ I kill it within 3 turns with 2 TT

Added his video to the main post. Thanks.

Seriously all the new trials are either bs mechanics which require specific TMRs to win or lay into the boss with 7* units. This isn't even fun anymore give us interesting trials and fights Gumi :/

Cosmocrtor•

Aigaion 2.0. Kills 2 units each turn. One with highest attack. Other with highest magic.

sentat1•

Use 2 healers and 2 7*'s both will case reraise 7*s will wreck him.

Better yet use Rem + 5 DPS decimate everything on turn one. If they don't die you'll have rem's reraise up.

First glance at title immediately reminded me of:

"On that day, mankind received a grim reminder. We lived in fear of the Antenolla, and were disgraced to live in these cages we called walls."

I beat down Antenolla with a friend's Trance Terra and my 6-star (4-star base) units. It was important to increase SPR of a guard unit being targeted. (Partially edited. I noticed an off-site link is against the rules. I'm sorry for my ignorance.)

Any way to survive when the Flower is alone at low % and it starts spamming both aoe physical and aoe magical? I lost 3 times in a row in the last 25% of that freaking Flower because she'll do like 4 aoe in a row. Feels like the only way is to 40ish-0% her.

I'm bringing *7 Basch for AoE Physical cover, *7 A.Rain for a strong magic provoker, *7 Lid for breaks, *7 Santa Roselia for healing and 2 freakin fire Hyoh. Feeling like a retard for losing with such a team :p

1
CocoaHotoChocolate•

Below 40%, it is basically hell mode, I would not recommend going past 40% since the plant starts doing 2 AoEs so 40->0% is really the only way in my opinion.

2
Beelzeboss3DGGL153//JP124•

I did it but I was so lucky AND unlucky lol I got it from 40ish to... 2%, so I prepared reraise on both chainers to see if one of them survived. Randi friend died twice but my Hyoh survived to finish her with his LB. On the other hand, I failed the no items mission because the little shit kept hitting me with aoe mp drain and I had no idea how to prevent it (she even used it in a turn where I hit it with all 4 weakness elements) ao I used a few elixirs, unless I need to bring both physical AND magical ways to hit her elements? Meh, dont really care about the mog, and Ill have an easier time with this extra killer next time xD

1
CocoaHotoChocolate•

Hmm, for the elements, you just have to use respective elemental spells/abilities/weapons, even if they are resisted.

1
Magnificent614•

Really appreciate your videos because of the requirement lists on the side of the videos. Thank you.

1
Mogastar•

Is it use any of fire/dark/wind 2 times (like fire and dark) or each 2 times?

1
RozaliinOPJP | Rozalin•

You need to deal damage with each element 2 times.

Please use this link in your guide for those who want to beat the trial. This guy has an amazing guide on the trial with no 7-Star units in main party. I could've followed it myself, but I don't have any T. Terra user in my profile with Status Immunity/Ifrit equipped(he has also provided the gear for each unit in his blog in description as well)

no difference from the video posted by caelumbf..

u/Nazta

Are you able to tell what the different triggers are? It looks like a number of abilities happen at different HP triggers but I also know that hitting the different targets with their weaknesses can weaken/change attacks, such as hitting the Root with wind damage which causes the AoE MP drain to become ST. I've been trying to figure it out but I know nothing about coding >.<

1
NaztaJP: 947 Tickets•

At a quick glance... I'm not seeing anything about a AoE MP Drain becoming ST.

1
RozaliinOPJP | Rozalin•

Hmm. I know that hitting the different parts with their weakness is supposed to weaken their attacks, and from what I've gathered from JP videos and discussing it with other JP players, if you hit the Root with wind, then the AoE MP drain never happens.

There is also the Ivy's snort, which is supposedly prevented by fire damage.

1
xSyakeTgzJP•

I think a ST MP Drain is used by Ivy (Ability name: 吸血). When you hit the Root with wind attacks, a preventing flag becomes true, so the Root doesn't use an AoE MP Drain and "根が地中深くに伸びていく" at that turn. But AI will reset that flag every turns. When the Root uses "根が地中深くに伸びていく" which is used once a turn at most, AI add 1 to a counter. This count is not reset until the AoE MP Drain is used.

A) In case Flower's HP is above 70%, Root uses AoE MP Drain while reducing physical damage if the counter value is greater than two, the preventing flag is false, and a number of turns is odd.

B) In case Flower's HP is between 40% and 70%, Root uses AoE MP Drain while reducing physical damage if the counter value is greater than two and the preventing flag is false.

I guess the AoE MP Drain is not used when the Flower's HP is below 40%, so we won't have to do it.

In conclusion, we should hit the Root with wind attacks at an odd number of turns except turn 1 and turns of Antenolla reducing magic damage when the Flower's HP is above 70%, and should do it every turns except those of reducing magic damage when the Flower's HP is between 40% and 70%. I also don't yet understand that script details very well. I'm sorry if there are any mistakes.

Great video u/Rozaliin

I copied the strategy but I took CG Nichol for buff and damage mitigation instead of LMS. Worked well, too. Even without your Plant Killer Kai from this trial ;-)

Thank you!

Okabe666Hey mister, I am mad scientist. It's so COOOOL! Sonovabitch.•

My clear - 7 turns.

Team:

Roy 7★

WoL - 100% Evade

CG Fina

Mistair on Lakshmi

Hyou + friend Hyou

Using fire element and plant killers on Hyou's.

Mistair for Clear Veil and charm resist via Lakshmi 3★. Equipped with wind rod that enables Aeroga.

Dark weapon + Toby TMR on WoL for dealing dark damage via counter.

Roy MVP for this one IMO - breaks and buffs from one unit really helped out a lot.

How can i aoe cover both atk and mag with just a Wol and a Mistair? Shouldn't be possibile, so how do i survive? She wrecks me first turn.

No 7* mage club and I find this boss is freaking hard.

1
Sinzar_Yes Indeed...•

Finally got around to doing this one. I don't have Terra or Hyoh, so I had to do it the slow way using some single target chainers. Took 20 turns, but that was still within the turn limit for the mission, so whatever. Team I used:

  • Wilhelm -- provoke for part 1, swapped to phys cover for final stretch
  • Fina -- was more of a support than healer, with resist, manaregen, and reraise skills
  • Basch -- aoe breaks and did magic cover for first half
  • Sephiroth -- holy weapons and chainer
  • Raegen -- holy weapons and chainer
  • friend Santa Roselia -- primary healer, also did her aoe light imperil

Video of my clear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vyoo0iClUQ

Was a little slow doing it this way, and two healers may have been overkill, but it got the job done cleanly enough. I forgot to add a source of wind damage, so I missed the summon ticket mission, but it would have been easy enough to toss a wind dagger on Wilhelm or something had I thought of it.
