Need to make a QB change ASAP
Sooner we ditch Keenum for a real NFL starter quality QB, like the one we’re carrying on the bench, the better we will be in the long run

This is gonna go well. Very in depth analysis.
I read this headline and thought it was gonna be one of those sarcastic shitposts...nope.
Ken M would be proud.
lol
Keenum will either make or break this team in the playoffs.
I doubt it. He is a member of the team he wont carry a game like Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers but he wont blow games like Ponder or Kizer.
I agree he wont carry a game like Drew Brees or Aaron Rodgers but I don't really understand how you can have confidence saying he wont blow one. He's been very lucky in the interception department so far this year and things tighten up in the playoffs.
He has some innacurate and weak throws but outside a few really bad times his decision making is really good. The interceptions vs the Redskins where the worst decisions I have seen him make. None of Keenums bad plays this week where due to bad decision making. His first interception was his weak arm showing when he underthrew Thielen, his second was a safe throw that while inaccurate was impossible for a defender to reach unless the receiver tips the ball as bad as Diggs did.
You may need to go back and re-watch. Just because a ball isn't caught by a defender doesn't mean it isn't a bad decision. He's also consistently underthrowing wide open receivers forcing them to come back and make a play on the ball against a defender. The interception against the Panthers was the first time a ball like that was intercepted and he threw at least one more later to Diggs that I can remember but maybe more just in that one game.
The rest of the NFL must think the Vikings fanbase is insane. All but a few teams would give their collective left nut for what we have right now.
Right like WTF
To be fair the rest of the NFL isn't watching vikings games and is just going by the W/L columns
From some analysis in the QB threads - so are most Vikings fans on this sub.
Stop with this fucking bullshit. Stop It.
Teddy Bridgewater is the most over-hyped Vikings player I have EVER seen in my 30+ years as a Vikings fan.
Go ask an U-N-B-I-A-S-E-D football fan about Teddy Bridgewater and I'm willing to bet that not one of them would call him elite or anywhere near elite. Most people would probably shrug their shoulders and go "he's ok" or "he's not very good" or "maybe he could be good".
Case Keenum has played BETTER than Teddy Bridgewater EVER has. That is a F-A-C-T. You can speculate about what you think Bridgewater might do but the REALITY is that you don't know. Teddy junkies seem to assume that you could just throw Teddy out there and he would make all of the same good plays Keenum has plus he'd make even better plays and he wouldn't make any mistakes. It's delusional thinking.
Stop making excuses for all of Bridgewater's poor play. Any time someone dares post something negative or critical or Bridgewater the Tedheads are quick to respond with an excuse and downvote the shit out of the comment. Half of the time I'm in this sub I feel like I must be the only one here over the age of 12 or Teddy Bridgewater's family is in this sub a lot.
I have NEVER seen a quarterback face the level of scrutiny that Keenum has. Every single fucking pass is evaluated and it's fucking ridiculous.
I assume we're going to maintain this same level of analysis if Bridgewater plays at some point right? --- No, of course not because then the comments will shift to, "Oh well he's been out for a long time. It's gonna take him 12 years to gel with the receivers. All that stuff takes time."
It's gonna get really confusing if Bridgewater ends up in a game and he throws a shitty pass to Thielen. Who gets blamed in that scenario? I know we can't blame Teddy because that's unacceptable. Do we blame the wind? Maybe God? How about Case Keenum? ... "Ya know if Bridgewater would have been out there earlier in the year he wouldn't have missed Theilen on that pass."
If Case Keenum did some shit like this:

Teddy Junkies would have their pitchforks out.
My favorite part is if he comes in the game they will say it is rust if he sucks. What happens if the rust lasts for 5 games. Everyone is so high on Teddy. If he was good enough he would be starting.

Even if he started the rest of the season, hes rusty.
Then he needs the whole offseason and season to learn this new offense that is 100% built for him.
He could over 50 games into his career and this sub will still argue he is significantly better than he has shown because unfortunate circumstances.
If Teddy was so good he wouldn't lose his job.
That's still kind of a crazy thing, though... Teddy threw an absolute duck left handed just to avoid the sack and it still required an insanely heads up stretched out backwards one handed play by the defense to intercept it. And that was the only pass that Teddy threw that year fewer than 15 yards downfield that was intercepted.
Meanwhile, it feels like Keenum's had at least one pass that hits a defender in the hands per game.
Not exactly the best example to use when you're trying to discredit the guy.
Yeah better to take the sack then. 3 defenders are in that frame that could have tried to make a play on that pass... Dont defend that shit it was a dumb throw.
Yeah, agree to disagree I guess.
I'm not saying this was a smart move or a good throw, but when you post an example of a defender making a crazy athletic one-handed grab and use that as evidence a QB is terrible because that's the best example of a shitty interception you can find, that's not really a strong argument.
Teddy would likely do significantly worse than Keenum.
Hot take nice stuff man
lol
Is this not an obvious troll?
Brady threw two picks last game, bench him
Lies.....Tom Brady doesn't throw picks. It was Case in a Brady mask!
Obvious peckler troll is obvious.
Yeah you right the guys only won 8 of our last 9 games and is comparable to the best qbs in the league right now, yeah and what about that one bad pass he had last game, time to get rid of him...it’s people like you that make us look like idiots, I absolutely love teddy and believe he’s our future, but case is the here and now, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, he’s earned his shot at taking us to the promise land let him have it barring total meltdown of these last three games
It’s fans like you that we make fun of when we look back at decision like starting Keenum when it blows up in our face. You love teddy? I’d hate to part of your family the way you apparently treat your loved ones. I’m sure you own a Brock Oswieller jersey and rooted for the Vikings to pick up Johnny Manzel.
I remember when people’s main defense for Tebow was how the team had that 7-1 run. I know Keenum’s not as bad as Tebow, but still. Keenum is basically a poor man’s rookie Dak Prescott.
Totally disagree
Ah. Good point.
Thanks. SKOL
Keenum makes plays when the Oline collapses. Dak Prescott collapses with the Oline.
Except last Sunday. But it’s different.
He made plays still yes he was sacked a bunch but that is expected when you are pressured on 40+% of drop backs. He still had nearly 300 yards and threw
32 touchdowns and was really to blame for only that first interception.Poor mans rookie Dak...I'll take it!
Will you? He lost to the Packers in the playoffs.
The Cowboys lost to the Packers. Team sport aspect seems to be too heavily overlooked.
