Blue whale dorsal fins are tiny and very far back towards the tail and they used the circumference to work out the width - this is usually measured just behind the pectoral fins so the measurements probably don’t include either

I assume those measurements include dorsal and pectoral fins.

My family and I are having a fight over the exact height of a blue whale. And not like head to toe, but like top to bottom. I have been looking everywhere, but I can’t find even the slightest clue. I figured if anyone knew it would be someone here. Thanks.

How tall is a blue whale?
