Firefox sound issue on build 17063 should be fixed with today's Nightly

Just thought I'd put it out there. The changes are now being merged, and should be coming with today's Nightly build. There's some discussion about backporting the change to the next stable release (58, coming in about a month) and the ESR version as well.

When is this set to be released? The latest nightly has not fixed the issue.

The changeset was pushed 8 hours ago, so it should appear on the 2017-12-22 Nightly.

Man I thought not being able to install anything without rebooting was bad in 17046, this sound issue is even worse...glad the Firefox nightly build works for now.

The issue was actually (arguably) on Firefox's side this time. Also, the fix should be making its way into the next Firefox release in early January.

No it wasn't. The documentation explicitly says that the functions return S_OK on success, Firefox followed that, Microsoft changed the API to return S_FALSE.
