The Most Anti-Religion, Individual, MTG Card?
I'm just curious about this, what do y'all think? Alpha [[Unholy Strength]] has it's art. WotC is so PC now, it's interesting to think about it ..

If we are talking about anti-religion card, almost all the Orzhov cards have a very "Religions is EVIL" feel. Still, you can't beat a card called [[Preacher]].
If we are talking about cards with satanic images, well, [[Hell's Caretaker|CHR]] always had a special place in my heart. Specially the "SUMMON HELL" part.
Now, if you really want to know what card art would never be printed nowadays: [[Earthbind]]
Idk about most anti religion, but we all know that they cannot print [[jihad]] and [[army of allah]] anymore for obvious reasons.

Google search, "goriest MTG cards."
[[Macabre Waltz]] (the Dissension version) comes to mind. Or [[Plagiarize]]. Lotsa nightmare fuel from the old sets, especially when it involved Phyrexians.

Once in a multiplayer game someone kept referring to this card as "Jesus". "Summon Jesus." "Sac Jesus." "Reanimate Jesus." Etc.
After this had gone on for a while, one player became noticeably silent. Finally he said in a somber tone "You really shouldn't be saying that."

Old school [[Demonic Tutor|3ED]] has so much demonic pictured in just a few inches of art, it's incredible. A literal fucking demon with a pentagram in his forehead, holding a book written in Hebrew both invalidates Christian tradition (which was written originally in Greek) and violates Judaic tradition (Why would the demon have a book written in Hebrew?). The presence of a pentagram adorning a horned head is like having a double goat's head just because one five pointed skull wasn't enough, ya had to draw another on top of the other. It's basically the Xzibit meme of demonic presence.
A lot of people view Judaism as a Satanic cult. Since Jesus was supposedly Jewish, and he said, "no, this is the way now", and the Jews have decided to say, "no thanks, you die now", they seem them as Satan worshipers. There's a lot more to it, but that's the gist of it. I'm not sure how widespread that theory was back when the card was created, however.
