In my mapping I'm currently often presented with an opportunity to herd the Elder into the red tier areas of the atlas - and I usually do. However, I wonder if there's a point to it? Are some of the Elder's unique drops gated to red tier, or ar they not? Is there any tradeoff whatsoever to making the fight harder?

It's for better rares, not uniques, I believe.

Also looks like Watcher's Eye drops only from Red tier Elder. But im not sure :D
I had one drop from elder who spawned in a t7 (and I didn't run it shaped), so no.
Can anyone confirm?
poe trade says min ilvl 76, so ruined.
For quite a few of the good elder mods you want items to be at least ilvl 80. 84 and 86 are the other big cut offs.
