[SPOILER] More thoughts on Vera ...

Half baked ideas here as usual.

If you no longer believe WR nor believe in what she discussed briefly with Dom then I recommend you tune out and ignore my post because it is based on an assumption that her efforts are legitimate and that she's experiencing success towards functional alternate realities.

Perhaps I've drinken her Cool-Aid, but that's ok, I'll keep it in my system if you don't mind until something slaps me back to reality. I do believe that her discussion with Dom is relevant and that the hopes of Angela could very well be realized.

Here it goes, I think that Vera is one of WR's test subjects. He is the Brave Traveler, he's very proud of it. He was the perfect subject, whacked enough to give it a try and a perfect target for WR since the probability of something going wrong is high. He feels invincible, he believes the Universe is on his side, and he is willing to kill his flesh and blood because he foresaw reality on a higher plane.

Based strictly on WR's very brief discussion with Dom at her home in China, her work has something to do with alternate realities. We don't know anything about it at all of course, but if Vera is a guinea pig and he is passing back and forth with success then he would be feeling higher than a kite right now. This is better than drugs for him and of course his life of disappointment and suffering and abuse would now have found a genuine glory and purpose. He would no longer have need of his drug operation. He was already a nut job but now he's back from his journey and he has survived, he feels transcended of course and he is invested 100%.

It could be that during the time when Elliot put Vera in jail the discussions with WR had just begun. WR encouraged Vera to use his thug influence to have Elliot break him out. Vera connected the dots while in jail, WR had told him to get Elliot to break him out before he knew that Elliot was the one who put him there, and I think we see that light go on for him when he's in jail and says "I see you...." (referring to Elliot). This could have been WR's way of showing Vera that he could believe in her. A mass prison break? Unheard of. It would have been enough to capture his belief and seal the deal to serve as a test subject for WR. It all came together for him with the prison break. The Universe was about to literally move for him.

Had Vera never reappeared in the season finale then I never would have thought about this character again. But his unusual reappearance lit this fire for me.

What he's going to do with Elliot now is beyond my imagination, but I think that we'll learn that Elliot Prime is on a much higher plane than we've yet seen in the Elliot character that we've come to know. That's for a different post.
