• Keep price discussion and market to talk to subreddits such as r/ethtrader or the daily sticky thread.
• No ICO advertisements

We welcome everyone in the community to introduce themselves with a 'Hi, my name is.." post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in this thread.

##Getting Started

What is Po.et?

Po.et is a shared, open, universal ledger designed to record metadata and ownership information for digital creative assets. The Po.et platform is designed to simplify the processes for publishing, licensing and authenticating digital creative assets. It accomplishes this by utilizing blockchain technology to timestamp metadata and to create an unalterable audit trail of a digital asset.

Why Po.et?

With the advent of the internet, the defensibility of established copyright and intellectual property has struggled to maintain pace with the reduced cost of information sharing. Media marketplaces like Shutterstock have attempted to address this issue by creating centralized hubs for licensing and ownership information of photos, but these marketplaces are neither interoperable nor do they openly and freely share the information with other applications and websites.

Today's Web 2.0 infrastructure makes it impossible ascribe value and ownership to creative works. Content creators have no visibility into how their works are repurposed throughout the web. By leveraging blockchain technology, Po.et can ensure the existence, integrity and attribution of digital assets. This will allow us to lay the groundwork for new models of financial exchange, collaboration and sharing.
