Why do I always start last?
Hey! quick question Everytime I play an online custom event with my brother he starts second and I start last. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I organise club race events and have the same issue.
Basically it's a 'non qualifying' bug from pcars1, as per other comments.
If you setup a race with no qualifying the organiser gets last place, every other online racer gets second onwards, the AI filling in the gaps.
I do love this game but random bugs like this are frustrating and surely easy enough to fix.

Not a 100% sure answer but I'm pretty sure it will put you in a default position so you will need to have a qualifying session before the race if you want to change your starting position. I don't think there's a way to choose where you start on the grid in online lobbies.

I know, it's probably not there so the lobby leader doesn't put themselves in first everytime. All can say is set the qualifying time to 5 minutes and just have drag races with each other. glhf
