Therapy in progress
We walk this path
you and me
In a blossoming garden
so serene
New plant seeds sprout
as I talk
They bud with my words
showing my thoughts
The fruit of this one
sure seems bitter
I need your wisdom
plant professor
Should I harvest it now
or let it grow
is it poisonous
I need to know

Hi! I really like this extended metaphor and in general the idea of therapy as planting. I also like the rhyming! A couple of places felt awkward to me, due to word choice. “Plant seeds” feels redundant and not a natural speech pattern while the rest of the poem flows quite nicely. Also “plant professor” would be a professor of botany//botanist. Not sure I have any suggestions on how to fix either but solid work thus far!
maybe i could change it to:
all sized seeds sprout
as I talk
They bud with my words
showing my thoughts
I just had a laugh about the plant professor idea, maybe it does't work..
I just thought of "i need your advice, my garden guide" instead of the plant professor thing
I like plant professor it adds a certain lightness to the poem
